The Università della Svizzera italiana (USI, Lugano), Switzerland with the joint support of the Fondazione Daccò
and of the Fondazione per la ricerca e lo sviluppo dell’USI invites applications from candidates of
international research  standing for an

assistant professor position with tenure track in computational biology


The successful candidate is expected to develop a strong research program in computational biology taking advantage of
the top level  scientific knowledge and infrastructure at the Institute of Computational Science (ICS) and at the
Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB) in their respective research fields as well as of the excellent computational
facilities of the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS).

ICS at the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) in Lugano provides a unique research environment in the fields of mathematical modeling, high-performance computing and numerical simulation, where  strong competences in applied mathematics, numerical simulation, and computer science come together in an open and application oriented atmosphere.
