General email Setup
Faculty/Staff/Students can configure their SCI e-mail accounts on their personal computers or mobile devices to send/receive SCI e-mail.
INCOMING MAIL SERVER:

OUTGOING MAIL SERVER:
Protocol: | SMTP SSL/TLS |

EMAIL SECURITY:
To authenticate your identity to prove that you have the right to send e-mail through SCI Mail Server (and you are not a spammer), SCI uses SSL/TLS connection security. SCI Mail Server also works on the concept of internal and external clients to best serve SCI Faculty/Staff/Students. Following are some e-mail settings for external and internal clients:
Outgoing SMTP Instructions:
Thunderbird (External)
Port : 465
User Name : <account user name>
Secure Authentication : Normal Password
Connection Security : SSL/TLS
Apple Mail (External) also for iPhones and iPads
Use Custom Port: 465
"Check" : Use Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
Authentication : Password
User Name : <your account user name>
Password : <your account password>
